Remove what's standing in the way of repair. Therapeutic Plasma Exchange in McKinney

A physician-guided series that replaces a measured volume of plasma with albumin, inside a root-cause plan.

Dr. Cas consulting with a patient

Therapeutic plasma exchange in McKinney is still rare. Evoke 5 offers it because aging isn’t only about what you’re missing. It’s also about what has built up. Plasma carries nutrients and hormones, but also inflammatory proteins, immune complexes and bound compounds. Most plans add something. TPE subtracts.

Why patients choose it

  • Brain fog that supplements haven’t cleared
  • A plan that has plateaued despite “doing everything”
  • A measured toxin or mold burden
  • Immune noise without a hospital diagnosis
  • A number to watch: inflammatory markers and selected toxins are tested before and after

How a course works

  1. Consult and baseline labs.
  2. The exchange. About three to four hours door to door. Most people read, work or rest. No incision, no required downtime.
  3. A series, often three to six, spaced so your body can recover. The count is set at your consult.
  4. Rebuild with nutrition, sleep, hormone support and removing ongoing exposure.

What the research says, honestly

In hospitals, TPE is first-line therapy for conditions like Guillain-Barré syndrome. Longevity use is newer. A 2025 randomized trial of 42 adults over 50 in Aging Cell found it safe and reported improved biological-age clocks versus placebo. Those are research clocks in a small trial, not a promise. Evoke 5 won’t book a series for a normal lab panel and a fear of aging.

You’ll leave the consult with a yes, a not-yet, or a different recommendation.

Questions

Why albumin instead of donor plasma?

Donor plasma raises the risk of transfusion reactions and infection, and of moving someone else's inflammatory load into your body. The goal is removal, and albumin-based exchange has a long safety record.

What does it feel like?

It's a closed circuit. Your blood never contacts anyone else's. Tingling, fatigue, lightheadedness or bruising at the IV site can happen and are monitored in the chair.

Will one session clear all my toxins?

No, and be wary of anyone who says so. A spaced series changes the pattern, and source control still comes first.

Who should wait?

Anyone unstable, acutely infected, severely anemic, allergic to albumin, pregnant, or with active cancer.

Important: Therapeutic plasma exchange is a medical procedure with risks, including blood-pressure changes, citrate effects, access-site bleeding or infection, and temporary lowering of immunoglobulins and clotting factors. It is not offered to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease outside a physician's individualized plan. Longevity and biological-age findings come from small clinical studies and do not predict an individual result.
