Hormone replacement therapy in McKinney starts where it should: with your labs. Hormones affect energy, mood, sleep, libido, muscle, skin and focus. When they fall out of balance, life can feel like it’s running on half power.

Signs your hormones may be off

  • Fatigue and brain fog
  • Weight gain or trouble losing weight
  • Mood swings and irritability
  • Poor sleep and night sweats
  • Low libido
  • Loss of muscle and strength

Women may also notice hot flashes or irregular periods. Men may notice erectile dysfunction.

How treatment works

A blood test shows whether hormone replacement makes sense. When it does, Evoke 5 prefers bioidentical options, including pellets. Unlike many oral hormones, pellets aren’t processed through the liver first, and they release hormone at levels similar to your younger adult years. Regular labs keep your hormones balanced, not just higher.

Once my food allergies were handled, we tackled my hormone levels with testosterone pellets and I feel so much better than I have in a very long time. … I sleep great. I eat great. I feel great.

Questions

What are hormone pellets?

Bioidentical hormones compounded from soy and yam, about the size of a grain of rice. They're placed under the skin in a quick in-office procedure and release small, steady amounts of hormone.

How long do pellets last?

Up to about three months for women and up to about six months for men, adjusted to your labs and symptoms.

Is hormone therapy only for older adults?

No. Levels typically decline around age 50, but low levels can happen much earlier. Evoke 5 has treated men in their 20s with low testosterone. Testing shows where you stand.

Important: Hormone therapy is not right for everyone and carries risks as well as benefits. Treatment decisions are individual and require an appropriate medical evaluation and ongoing lab monitoring.
