Neuromodulator injections in McKinney are one of the most requested aesthetic treatments, and one of the easiest to overdo. The goal here is the opposite of a frozen look.
“A frozen forehead is not a marker of good medicine.” Dr. Castel A. Santana, MD, CFMP
Why people book
- You look stern when you aren’t. Frown lines change how people read you.
- Lines are setting in. Treating moving lines before they etch in is simpler than chasing a permanent crease.
- Real life is still happening. Planned well, there’s little social downtime.
How they work
Botulinum toxin type A briefly blocks the signal from nerve to muscle. The muscle that folds the same line all day softens for three to four months, so the skin above stops creasing. It’s also an established treatment for excessive sweating and jaw clenching.
What they can’t do
They don’t replace lost volume, repair a damaged barrier or correct hormone shifts. That’s why the consult looks at hormones, inflammation, protein and sleep too, and why the team says no when a neuromodulator is the wrong tool. If you’re also doing microneedling, the two are sequenced so one doesn’t undo the other.
